A diver swimming off HaCarmal coast in Haifa, has discovered a crusader sword dating from 900 years ago. Diver was about 150m off the coast in 5m deep water when he made discovery. The 4ft long sword was covered in shells and other remnants of sea life.

How freaking cool would that be? You should see how stoked I am when I find a sand dollar. I can't imagine if I found a sword. I would definitely be taking that thing to the bar.
One other thought...
It's difficult to go diving or snorkeling if you don't know how to swim. Beyond saving lives and being a life skill - swimming unlocks so many cool, fun experiences.
Like diving off the coast of Israel and finding a crusader sword.

βWinning is fun...Sure. But winning is not the point. Wanting to win is the point. Not giving up is the point. Never letting up is the point. Never being satisfied with what you've done is the point.β

Long live Coach Pat Summitt.
Her quote reminded me of what I recently read about Aaron Judge texting his hitting coach right before he hit his 62nd dinger. It also made me think about Bruno Fratus and his attitude even when his arm is in a sling.
This type of attitude is found across all high performers.

Man I am so mad I didn't get to go to this meet. This type of swim meet environment is unparalleled. Howard University vs. Georgetown β "The Battle at the Burr" β put it on your calendar for next year.
This is what itβs all about. For the young fans in attendance yesterday, I hope this inspired them to join a swim or dive team.
Thanks again to β¦@HUSwimmingβ© for allowing us to take part in this historic day. More to comeβ¦π washingtonpost.com/sports/2022/10β¦

βThis is a predominantly White sport, so us swimming and competing and doing our best and showing younger Black kids that thereβs another sport to do; you donβt have to play basketball, you donβt have to play football. Younger Black swimmers seeing swimmers like us will give them reassurance that they can do what we can do.β - Miles Simon, Senior
