I found my coachβs old pamphlet from a UM swim camp years ago. Probably one of the best centralized sets of information for high-school/college aged swimmers. It includes the science behind body position, using psychology for performance, lists of drills, ideal race splits, etc

You know I'm a complete sucker for this type of stuff...
I tweeted at him to send the rest of the Bill Boomer article in pic #2. I'll put it in next's week 3TT if I get a response so you can read the entire thing.
My favorite line from page 1:
"Success is not an accident. The discovery of excellence doesn't just appear."

How about this for minimising effort on the kick, yet maintaining great stroke balance, rhythm and timing - as well as supporting a great body position?
Our Squads have been working on the two beat kick and working on stroke timing a little over the past week or so.

I like to watch Katie Ledecky in slow motion 25x before practice to get my mirror neurons firing. Click to watch 27 seconds of perfection.

Swimming at the gym is such a wild ride because to your right you may have an elderly man doing physical therapy and to your left you have an ex college swimmer doing Olympic level turns and youβre just in the middle of them trying not to drown
