I donβt remember which session but this is when Natalie Coughlin broke 50 in the 100y back. It took 15 years for anyone to break 50 again. Without a doubt the most historic sporting feat Iβve seen in person.

I love old swimming nostalgia like this. Speaking of Natalie Coughlin, she is being inducted.
The 57th Annual ISHOF and Masters Honoree Induction Weekend will be held Friday, October 14 and Saturday, October 15, 2022 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Brett and I will be in attendance. Stay tuned for live coverage of next month's Hall of Fame ceremony!

A slide about - women 100m backstroke OG finals - and their under water work from a clinic I gave a few weeks ago. Do you train 20 or 25% of your time or distance on under water skills? Factcheck, for the 200m distance the numbers don't change much.

Another reminder that you probably need to do more underwater dolphin kick training.
Ask yourself: "Do you train 20-25% of your time under water?"
Data for women swimming backstroke at the highest level shows everyone is under water between 20 and 25% of the time.
