From Mediocre Swimmer to Famous Actor

How swimming molded Anders Holm

From mediocre swimmer to famous actor, how swimming molded Anders Holm

For young swimmers, club and college, this might be the most inspiring and relatable podcast interview we've done to date.

Most of us weren't/aren't NCAA All Americans or Olympic Champions but we were all apart of the grind. Swimming, and sport in general, is about becoming the best you can be by going all in. It's about commitment, sacrifice, and discipline. This interview with Anders is the epitome of that. You might not be an Olympian but that doesn't mean you don't have an Olympic work ethic.

Anders got kicked off the University of Wisconsin's swim team after getting into a bar fight. Big mistake. If he could, he'd probably take it all back.

That regrettable incident, though, turned his attention and focus to writing. Guided by the work ethic he learned earned from swimming, he moved to Los Angeles and went all in as a screenwriter and actor. He spent years writing and performing comedy sketches with Kyle Newachuck, Blake Anderson, and Adam Devine before they got their big break with Workaholics

If I had to share just 1 interview with young swimmers, it would be this one.

Enjoy!
