Prelims Day 8 Recap

The Iron Lady is swimming in Finals - a fitting way to finish these World Championships in Budapest.

Americans Katie Grimes and Emma Weyant will be trying to chase down 200 Fly World Champion, Summer McIntosh. Hard to believe Emma Weyant is ~5 years older than them!

The Olympic Champ, Yui Ohashi, is down but not out. She's got a lane.

Predictions?Emma Weyant, Olympic silver medalist in this event from last year, is ready to compete! She's going to crush the breaststroke leg. We will see if she can hold off her teammate over those last freestyle meters.

A best time for Summer McIntosh is a new World Jr Record. I think she will lead from start to finish.

How impressive has 23 year old Frenchman, Max Grousset, been this week? Dude just goes out in Prelims and drops a 47.3 anchor on Day 8. He's got medals in the 50 and the 100 and he had to defeat Bruno THE Fratus in that epic swim off.

Here's the race footage of that one -- a special race that will go down in history as Bruno's 100th sub 22 50 Freestyle.

Looks like Ryan Murphy will get to lead Team USA off tonight. Nic Fink swimming breast. Michael Andrew fly. Ryan Held anchoring.

That's the relay I'd go with.

Predictions? The American Men sweep the relays!

USA will be in an outside lane tonight, as we are seeded 7th after this morning. I think the coaching staff will do a complete swaparoo from the Prelims squad (White, Walsh, Hinds, Brown).

Tonight should be...

Regan Smith. Lilly King. Torri Huske. Claire Curzan.

Predictions?57.81:06.056.052.6
