Joao Mescolote is a swim coach and former competitive swimmer who has made a name for himself within the swimming community, particularly for his involvement in high-level training environments in the United States. Originally from Brazil, Joao completed his master's degree in sports administration at Ball State University, where he began coaching. He’s currently working with Wolfpack Elite, a professional training group that operates alongside North Carolina State University's swim team. With Wolfpack Elite, Joao works closely with notable swimmers and coaches, focusing on speed development and techniques, especially in areas like underwater kicking. He emphasizes a tailored approach for each athlete, ensuring individual goals within shared training sets, and has collaborated with prominent figures like Braden Holloway, the head coach of NC State’s swimming program.
